How does your service work?
Each membership receives a FREE key-ring
tag. All engraved tags have our toll-free number and your ID
number. If someone finds your bag or any personal item bearing
that toll-free number and your ID number, they call our toll
free phone number, enter your ID number and the system knows
to transfer that call directly to you in real time to up to
4 of your own phone numbers. YOU get the calls directly but
there is no traceable personal information on your personal
property items. |
Why do we need your tags?
Due to the ease of internet searches
for addresses when cross referenced with your home phone number,
this can put your home, its contents, and your family at risk.
Law enforcement now says putting your own personal information
on ID tags can be a very risky thing to do. Using our tags you
get the call if your personal property is found, but there is
no traceable personal info on the tag. |
I use luggage tags with my home phone and address on them.
Law enforcement strongly advises
not to openly display your personal contact information. Even
if you just have a home phone number on the tag, anyone with
much internet experience can use that number to search for
your address, even if your phone number is unlisted. With
our service, you get the calls directly, but there is no traceable
personal information that an unscrupulous person can use against
you. |
How will I know if my bag is found?
If someone finds your bag or other
personal property and calls you, the call is forwarded to
up to 4 of your own phone numbers automatically. If your phone
is off, as it must be during flights, if your bags finder
left a message you can get the message when you turn your
phone on. In rare instances, if the caller doesn't leave a
message, a company rep may be able to retrieve the
caller's number from our system upon request by the member |
What does it cost?
We have 2 levels of service: |

Basic
Service - At this level, calls are transferred to just 1
phone number. The 1st year of Basic service is
$29.95. If you sign up for a 2nd year initially,
it is only $19.95. Thereafter, the annual renewal is only
$24.95.

Premium
Service (calls are transferred to up to 4 phone numbers,
in the order you designate): The 1st year of
Premium service is $34.95. If you sign up for a 2nd
year initially, it is only $24.95. Thereafter, the annual
renewal is only $29.95.
Both
levels of service receive one (1) key ring tag FREE (a $6.00
value) and FREE POSTAGE TOO. Additional tags can be ordered
through our website anytime. |
What do I get for my money?
You receive 1 full year of our 24/7
protection for any item bearing our toll free number and your
unique ID number. You can use the toll free number and
your ID number on all your personal propertyanything
you can take out of the house and potentially loose.
In addition, you receive a top quality, key ring tag that
is deeply engraved with our toll free number and your personal
ID number. The tag is FREE which is a $6.00 value. |
What about small items that are too small for a luggage tag?
We encourage you to create your
own adhesive tags of any size to fit your personal items that
can be lost like cell phones, glasses cases, purses, wallet,
computers, PDAs, backpacks, etc. Even hand written tags with
the words "If found call" then include our toll
free number and your ID number can be used if you so choose.

What is the size of the tags?
The large (luggage) tags are about
1 ½ inch in diameter and the key ring tag is about
1 inch in diameter. Both are high impact plastic with brass
hole protector and both are guaranteed against rub damage
(to the state of being unable to be read) or breakage. We
will replace them FREE of charge if they break or become unreadable
due to rub wear, but we will need to actually see the damaged
tag before a replacement can be issued. |
Can I order a membership as a gift?
Yes. Simply go to the ORDER NOW
page, select the service level you want, order additional
tags if desired, and at checkout, enter the person's shipping
information so it will be sent directly to them. |
Will my personal information be safe with
your company?
Yes. We never give any information
about our members to any person or business. If fact, to prevent
hacking, all our membership information is stored on a separate
computer that has no internet connection. In addition, we
give no info to anyone that finds your luggage. If you cannot
be reached by our system and someone calls a company representative,
we will take the caller's contact information, call you, and
give you the information. You can use it however you choose. |
If I use your service, do I need travel insurance too?
Yes. Travel insurance covers much
more than a lost bag. |
Can
I change my contact information myself online?
Yes, on our Member
Login page. To protect your privacy, we don't keep our
member info on the same computer used for internet access,
so there is no possibility of hacking. So when you go onto
the update info page, you enter just the info to be changed
and we will update on our end within 24 hours during week-days,
or on Monday if entered on the week-end. If you need an
update sooner you will have to call the company directly. |
Can
I change my personal contact information, change phone
numbers, or change to a vacation address?
Yes. Just go to our Member
Login page, login, and enter the data you want changed.
Your information in our database will be updated within 24
hours during week-days, or on Monday if update is entered
on week-end.

What
are the shipping and handling charges?
There are none, they are included
in the 1st year membership order. If you are ordering
additional tags, they are mailed 1st class FREE. |
Which
payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments using Visa,
Mastercard, American Express & Discover. |
Will
my credit card number be safe?
Yes. We use Verisign and a leading
online credit card company, for your protection. All your
personal information is encrypted, and none is even forwarded
to us. We only receive your name, shipping information,
the date of the transaction, and the amount of the payment
received. |
Can
I change my contact information myself online?
Yes, on our Member
Login page. To protect your privacy, we don't keep our

I
prefer not to order online, can I still order a membership?
Yes. You can print
out our application in PDF form and mail it to us
along with a check for the service level you desire. Your
membership will begin, and your tags will be mailed to
you, as soon as your check clears. |
Returns
All monies submitted to
the Company for membership will be refunded to a
member if the request for refund is submitted by
e-mail or telephone AND the new member's welcome
packet has not yet been shipped out. (New membership
packets are usually shipped within 1-7 days from
date purchase is confirmed by monies clearing.)
If a refund is requested AFTER the new member's
packet has been shipped AND less than 30 days from
the order date, a refund of the membership (minus
the one time sign-up fee) shall be provided IF the
tags issued by the company with membership packet
are returned (at the expense of the member) to the
company in unused condition.
If the member has ordered any additional tags (more
than the tag issued with their membership) these
tags are a custom order and would have been shipped
from the manufacturer directly to the member. Because
they are a custom made item, they are NOT refundable
unless the order can be cancelled prior to the additional
tags being ordered to be made for the member.
After the first thirty (30) days from the date of
order placement, NO refunds will be issued. However,
current memberships can be transferred to another
party for the remainder of the membership period
being transferred. Such transfers can only be done
by mail, not via our website. The current member
must:

Make
such request for transfer in writing AND be
signed by the current member approving the
transfer.

Include
the new members contact information including
mailing address and contact telephone numbers.

Note:
A notice of request for transfer can be made
via e-mail from the our website, but a hard
copy must also be sent (including approval
signature) via US mail (Certified Mail with
return receipt requested is strongly suggested)

The
hard copy of the transfer request must be
received by the Company at least ten (10)
business days before such transfer is to take
place.

to any other service, group, person, business, agency,
or entity, and especially not to your luggage or personal
property finder, except as authorized in writing by
the member, unless subpoenaed by law enforcement.

What to do if your bag or personal property is found. |
Somebody has found my bag! What do I do next?
-
If
the item is found in close proximity to where you are,
you can arrange to meet the caller face to face in a safe,
very public place. We recommend meeting at the local
police or sheriff's department. There are frequently
police offices in terminals were you might be traveling.
(Just make sure there is someone there during the time you
want to meetthis office might not be manned 24/7 like
a police station.) Arrive early and explain why you
are there. They probably won't 'officiate', but they
will want to know why you are hanging around. Just
explain that someone found your property and has been kind
enough to offer to return it, but that this person is unknown
to you, and you wanted a safe place to meet them.
Also, use a little common senseleave expensive jewelry,
clothing, furs, and cars at home, especially if you are
offering a reward. Give your property's finder very little
information about yourself (you really don't need to ever
give your correct name, but just a first name is all your
benefactor needs to know). Also, remember, a vehicle's
license plate number can be traced as well. NEVER
give a reward as a personal check if your home address is
on the check. Also, if you want to give them a phone
number to contact you directly, NEVER give them your home
phone number for any reason. A cell phone is much
less traceable.

If
the item is found too far away to drive to a meeting location
to retrieve your property, you will have to arrange to have
it shipped to you. If the carrier you were traveling
on was the locator of your bags, try to get them to ship
it to your home or to the local terminal if you don't mind
going to pick it up. However, if the finder is a private
citizen NEVER give your home address as the shipping address.
The caller may tell you they are a long way from you when
in fact they are very nearthat means they are near
your home too. Get a phone number and/or backup contact
info on the person and tell them you'll call them back when
you have made shipping arrangements. Remember to only
give your cell phone number as the means by which UPS can
contact you when it arrives.
You
have several options but under no circumstances do you want
to have the item shipped to your home address because you don't
want to have to give that address to a total stranger.
If you have an office or business location, that is much safer.
If you don't have such a location, ask a friend, your doctor's
office, or your insurance agent if you can have a parcel shipped
to them and TO YOUR ATTENTION. This does two things, protects
your home, and has the bag being shipped to an office where
someone is there during business hours to receive the parcel.
Another idea for a 'ship to' location, is to make a quick call
to the UPS or FedEX terminal closest to you and ask if they
allow things to be shipped to them as 'will call'which
means it is shipped to their location and when it arrives, they
call you and you can go pick it up.
Once you have decided on the 'ship to' address, have the locator
take your property to a UPS (United Parcel Service) or FedEx
shipping location (like Kinkos or Mail Boxes Etc.). Have
the locator ask the clerk to call you for payment and ask if
you can give them your credit card over the phone (some will,
some won't). If they won't take payment over the phone,
you will have to go to that shipper's location near you and
prepay the shipping from your end.
One more suggestion, if you find a person helpful enough to
go through all this to help you get your property back, you
might want to consider a rewardjust don't send a personal
check. Mail them a money order or even a 'universal' prepaid
gift certificate like American Express or Master Money.
If you have a Post Office box as an address, you might want
to have your property shipped to you there. But, the
US Post Office
won't guarantee the shipping and their tracking is inconsistent
plus their fees usually are more costly than UPS or FedEX.
Remember, you don't want it lost again in the USPS system! |
I
found a bag with your tag or label on it. What do I do next?

Call
the toll free number on the tag or label.
-
When
the system prompts you to do so, enter the ID number on
the tag or label, then wait. The system will automatically
connect you to the owner of that item.

If
your call is transferred to an answering machine or voice
mail and you don't want to leave a message for the item's
owner, just call our toll free number again then press '0'
and your call will be transferred to a company representative.
